League Amigo

How League Amigo works

Quick answers for players and managers. Tap a heading to open it.

For players

Getting started
  1. Open the invite link your manager sent you and create your account.
  2. On the team page, tap This is me next to your name. Not on the list? Tap Add me to the roster.
  3. Optional but helpful: open My preferences and tell your manager how you bat and throw, and where you like (or don't like) to play. Your manager makes the final call.
Telling the team if you can make a game

Your games are on the Schedule page. A yellow RSVP tag means you haven't answered yet. Open the game and tap I'm in or Can't make it. You can change your answer any time.

If you don't answer, you're counted as coming. If you say you can't make it, you're taken out of the batting order and the field automatically.

Game day

Open the game and tap â–¶ Gameday mode. It has three tabs: Batting (who's up, on deck and in the hole), Field (who plays where each inning, and who's sitting) and Score.

You'll see the live game and it refreshes every few seconds. Only managers can advance the batter or change the score. Your screen stays awake while it's open.

Lineups and the printed card

The Batting and Fielding tabs on a game show the plan. 🖨 Dugout card opens a printable sheet: tap Print / Save as PDF.

Stats

If your manager has turned on stat tracking and shows it to players, you'll see a Team stats button on the team page and a Stats tab on each game, with batting averages and totals. During a game, the batting view shows how each batter is doing today.

Put games in your phone's calendar

Open Calendar in the top bar and subscribe. Every game from your teams appears in your calendar app and updates itself if the schedule changes. The link is private to you: if it gets shared, make a new one on the same page.

Your account

Under Account you can change your name, email and password, sign out your other devices, or delete your account. Deleting your account leaves your roster spot on the team, unlinked.

For managers

Set up your team
  1. Go to Teams â–¸ New team. Turn Coed on or off.
  2. Tap Add player for each person. Set their batting and fielding skill (1 to 10) and mark positions as Prefers or Won't play.
  3. Auto-generated lineups never put someone at a "Won't play" position (unless you lock them there yourself).
Invite your team

On the team page, under Invite teammates, tap Copy link and send it by text or email. Anyone with the link can create an account and join as a player. New link cancels the old one.

Under Members you can make someone else a manager, remove someone, or match a member to a roster spot (Link to…, or Add to roster if they aren't listed). Players can also claim their own spot.

Build the schedule

Schedule â–¸ Add game for one game, or Import CSV for a whole season. Each line is: date, time, opponent, home/away, for example:

2026-05-03,6:30 PM,Mud Hens,Home
5/10/2026,19:45,"Smith, Jones & Co.",away

Dates can be 2026-05-03 or 5/3/2026. Times can be 18:30 or 6:30 PM. Home/away and a header row are optional. You get a preview first, and games already on the schedule are skipped.

Home or away matters for gameday: the away team bats first. Games marked TBD show us as away.

Before the game: attendance

Open the game. The Attendance tab shows who's replied (confirmed, no reply, out). Tap In / Out to change anyone's status. Use Add substitute for a fill-in who plays this game only.

Batting order

On the Batting tab, pick a rule if your team is coed (none, alternate men and women, or strictly alternate), then tap Auto-generate. Use the â–² â–¼ buttons to reorder. Warnings tell you if a rule is broken. Players who arrive late show under Attending but not batting with an Add to end button.

Auto-generate replaces the current order, so do it before you hand-tune.

Fielding lineup
  • Auto-fill inning or Auto-fill all innings builds the lineup. It respects "won't play", your women minimums, an optional 5-and-5 split, and shares sitting time fairly.
  • Change anyone with the dropdowns. Picking someone who is already playing elsewhere that inning swaps the two players.
  • 🔓 Lock pins a player to a position for the whole game, in every inning, and auto-fill keeps them there. Tap 🔒 to unlock.
  • Copy and Clear help with hand edits. Lineup rules holds innings and coed settings.
  • Yellow warnings flag problems. Innings sat this game shows whether sitting time is even.

Tip: if attendance changes, run auto-fill again.

Game day: keeping score
  • Batting: Next batter and Prev move through the order. Tap any name to jump to them.
  • Score: the + and − buttons work for the team that's at bat. Use ‹ › to move between the top and bottom of each inning. Extra innings are fine.
  • Missed a run? Step back to that half inning, add it, then step forward.
  • Everyone else on the team sees a live view of the game.
Stat tracking (advanced feature)
  • Turn it on: on the team page, under Advanced features, tap Turn on next to Stat tracking. It's off by default, and it's per team.
  • Log at-bats: in Gameday mode, the Batting tab gets a row of result buttons: hits (1B, 2B, 3B, HR), getting on base (BB, HBP, E, FC) and outs (K, GO, FO, SF). Tap the one that happened and the next batter comes up. If runs scored on it, tap the RBI number first. Undo takes back the last one.
  • Fix mistakes later: each game gets a Stats tab with a box score and every at-bat. Change a result, delete one, or add one you missed.
  • Season totals: Team stats on the team page shows AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS and more for each player. Pick a year or a date range, and tap a heading to sort.
  • By default players can see the stats; only managers can log or change them. In a more casual league, use Players can see stats under the Stat tracking switch to hide them from regular players. If a player is removed from the roster, their past at-bats stay in the totals.

How it's counted: walks, hit-by-pitch and sacrifice flies are plate appearances but not at-bats. Reaching on an error or a fielder's choice counts as an at-bat without a hit.

Player preferences

When a player fills in My preferences you'll see Has answers next to their name. Open Edit to review them, and use Use their handedness and positions to copy those over. Their skill ratings are shown but never copied: those stay your call.

Common questions

I can't create an account

League Amigo is invite-only. Ask your team's manager for the invite link, then open it, or paste it on the sign-up page.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. On the home page, choose Explore as a player or Explore as a manager. You get a private sample team to play with, and it's deleted after a day. Nothing you do there affects any real team.

My name isn't on the roster

Tap Add me to the roster on the team page, or ask your manager to add you.

I picked the wrong name

On the team page, tap Not me next to your name, then choose the right one.

I forgot my password

There's no self-service reset yet. Ask the person who runs the app to reset it for you. If you can still sign in, change it any time under Account.

Someone else may have my password, or I lost my phone

Go to Account and change your password. That signs out every other device. You can also just tap Sign out my other devices.

Who can see and change what?

Everyone on a team can see the roster, schedule, lineups and live games. Only managers can change them. Only managers can see members' email addresses. Players can only change their own RSVP, preferences and account.

What time zone are game times in?

Game times are the local clock time of the game: 6:30 PM is 6:30 PM wherever you are.

Does it work without a signal?

No, it needs a connection. Print the Dugout card before you leave home so you have a paper backup.
